Lock in to Relaxation

Friday was the day of wonderful massages with a palm tree ocean view and the day of the lock in. After the massage Heather and I went to take pictures out on the large rocks that sat on the beach. They went out into the water and made for great shots and places to sit and talk. The other girls (other that Whitney) stayed up on the land and laid in the warm sun. They were nice and toasted by that evening. The inner children that live inside Heather and me were completely satisfied by the time we left for home. Heather sat on the rocks nearer to the water and got splashed by the waves and finally climbed to the big rocks that were farther out. It was a lot of fun. The lock in was good. We watched Bruce Almighty (which was better then I thought it would be). We then answered questions about the movie. We analyzed the good and not so good views of God that the movie portrayed as well as looking at ways to apply to moral of the movie to our lives. The night was full of eating, playing games, Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution. We played Spoons, I got to read and at about 3am Heather and I decided to get some sleep. The rest of the weekend was down hill for me. I got REALLY sick that morning and Randy took me home. I was in bed for the rest of weekend. It really sucked!! I have not been that sick in a very long time. We still do not know what caused it. From what I heard the goodbye for the Parkers went well and Francisco and I will sing this week instead. On Monday I was feeling better and Heather, Randy and I got to go to the beach to relax. I was still weak and sore but it was nice to set in the breeze and watch everyone hanging out with their families. We were at a small out door restaurant. There was food, music, kids playing and people just having a good time. It was raining off and on that day so it was cool outside. Heather and I got to play in waves and sit in sand. It was a good day to relax. We had to head home due to rain. That night Heather and went to that mall to eat and see Pirates 3. We had a great time. The movie started around 9pm and after (we were the only people that stayed for the part after the credits) we were the only ones in the mall. There were only workers and guards. It was a bit scary but after calling Randy we found and guard and he called a taxi for us. He was very talkative for 12:30am but he was nice. We told him about the English classes at the church and I hope that he shows up. VBS went great. Still wish we had more kids. Heather put a video of her doing an announcement for VBS on Facebook. You should check it out, there are pictures too. Yesterday one of the LST girls, Whitney, got baptized in the ocean. She said that she is a Christian but she had never really understood the concept of baptism. After praying and talking with different people she decided that now was the perfect time. It was great. Yesterday I also met with my reader, had Portuguese class and helped teach the 2nd hour of the adult beginner English class. It is so funny. Everyone is great. I really enjoy teaching and working with Val and Matt. Last night Heather and I ordered pizza and guess what. It does not come with red peppers and Parmesan cheese...no it comes with oregano and ketchup. Yeah...just thought that was funny. Anyway Heather and I are enjoying our day off. We went and got our nails done and I am about to start cooking dinner. Tonight is another LST party..I think the theme is Olympics. I hope all of you are doing well.
